Teresa Diane Stanley

Teresa Diane Stanley, born to Rosa Lee Lewis and the late Cleauther Stanley, was raised in a single parent home along with her brother, Michael Duron Stanley. Her mother passed on her amazing gifts while singing duets in churches in her hometown, Panama City, Florida. Later, her mother moved the family to Sarasota, Florida where Teresa began her theatrical career. Starring in her debut performance in “Purlie” at the “Players Theater“. Later she became a founding member of “Westcoast Black Theater Troupe”, along with her mentor Nate Jacobs which has been showcasing productions for people of color for 21 years.

After branching out, performing in theaters all over her community, and “ The Cumberland County Playhouse” in Crossville, Tennessee. Teresa got an amazing opportunity to travel with Linda Twine and “The New York Harlem Singers” in her first international tour. After returning home to “W.B.T.T.” she made her Broadway debut in Oprah Winfrey‘s “The Color Purple”, and later “Rock of Ages”. Teresa also toured and performed with many artists such as Fantasia Barrino, Hugh Jackman, and Todrick Hall to name a few.
